TalentCONNECT Reverse Career Fair Opens Doors for Dairy Students, Job-Seekers
College-Level Students Invited to Participate During 2025 PDP Business Conference
DAIRY NEWS – Answering the call for employers looking for skilled, quality labor, Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) will launch an exclusive event during their 2025 Business Conference, scheduled for March 12-13 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
The first-ever talentCONNECT® Reverse Career Fair will flip the traditional job-fair model on its head by giving students the opportunity to share their skills, experiences, and career aspirations with forward-thinking employers. Whether the specific career focus is farming, communications, agri-finance or another agribusiness, dairy producers and allied industry professionals can learn more about the featured students and their potential fit for full-time, co-op, or internship job openings.
The application-based event is scheduled for Thu., March 13, and will take place in the Hall of Ideas Trade Show during the 2025 PDP Business Conference. Each student will be provided with booth space to display their portfolio, resumé and other materials so they can effectively showcase their skills, experiences and career goals.
“We really believe this one-of-a-kind opportunity will be a game-changer for students eager to engage with leading minds in today’s dairy industry,” said Caitlin Roy, Sustainability and Development Manager with PDP. “So many employers attending Business Conference and exhibiting in the Hall of Ideas are actively seeking driven candidates for full-time roles and internships; this event is designed to facilitate connections between those two groups – and ultimately, to be an ongoing resource for job-seekers and employers in our industry.”
Students will set up their displays by 9:00 a.m. and will have the entire day at Business Conference to attend their choice of educational sessions and presentations. From 3:15 to 4:00 p.m., talentCONNECT attendees will return to their booths for the Reverse Career Fair, during which students and prospective employers will learn more about one another.
Interested students can learn more and apply by visiting the PDP website’s “Network” tab to complete an online application before February 18. Accepted applicants will be notified on February 20 and provided details for display space, schedule and more. The $75 fee from accepted applicants will also cover one day of Business Conference registration and meals.
Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) is the nation's largest dairy producer-led organization of its kind, focusing on producer professionalism, stakeholder engagement and unified outreach to share ideas, solutions, resources and experiences that help dairy producers succeed.
