PDPW World Class Webinar Series “Economic Management” Airs Part 2, February 5
Learn How Top 20% of Dairy Farms Manage for Strong Financial Performance
 
DAIRY NEWS – Offered by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), the two-part PDPW World Class Webinar - Economic Management Series is airing Part 2, “What are the top 20% doing?,” live on Wed., Feb. 5, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. CT.
 
Led by economic and financial expert Jason Karszes, dairy farmers and agribusiness attendees will tune in to hear Karszes’ evaluation and findings on what the top 20 percent of well-managed dairy farms are doing to thrive during tough economic times. Accessing data from 2013-2018, Karszes will further delineate fundamental strategies and glean insights on utilized management strategies that led to strong financial performance.
 
Jason Karszes is Senior Extension Associate with the PRO-DAIRY program at Cornell University. With a focus on management education, he coor­dinates the Cornell Dairy Executive Program to further develop business management skills of dairy producers around the country.

PDPW Webinar Series Outlines Business Strategies for Managing Costs on Dairy Farms
Learn How Top 20% Manage Financials to Minimize Cost, Jan. 8 & Feb. 5, 2020
 
DAIRY NEWS – Dairy farmers are always looking for strategies to fine-tune their dairy’s financials and mitigate rising costs, especially in the category of labor. Tune-in for a two-part PDPW World Class Webinar Series - Economic Management, presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) and held  Jan. 8 and Feb. 5, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. CT.
 
Dairy farmers and agribusiness will hear from economic and financial expert Jason Karszes, Senior Extension Associate of the PRO-DAIRY Program at Cornell University to learn how to make sense of our economic climate and solutions to enhance profitability in dairying.
 
  • Part 1: “Strategies for rising labor costs,” held Wed., Jan. 8. Karszes will share actionable strategies that farmers can use to mitigate rising labor costs, regardless of geography and demographics.
 
  • Part 2: “What are the top 20% doing?,” held Wed., Feb. 5. Karszes will outline fundamental strategies that distinguished the top 20 percent of farms from 2013-2018 and share the management strategies utilized. Learn how differences in basic management categories add up to increased efficiencies and lower expenses.
