Three repeating sessions of Calf Care Connection meetings will be held, each starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m., on November 13, 14 and 15 in Fennimore, Eau Claire and Chilton, Wis.
Workshop trainers include Donald Sockett, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM, Veterinary Microbiologist/ Epidemiologist at the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at University of Wisconsin; Richard Wallace, DVM, Cattle Technical Service veterinarian for Zoetis; and Jud Heinrichs, PhD, Professor of Dairy and Animal Science at Pennsylvania State University.

Each workshop will feature a general session presentation where Dr. Sockett shares insights on the Salmonella Heidelberg disease and strategies to control the deadly disease. Three breakout sessions will focus on proper cleaning and disinfecting of calf care equipment, rumen development and feeding strategies, and proper vaccination approaches and injection techniques.
