Maximize Internship Experience with PDPW Accelerate™ Workshop for College Students
Employers can invest in intern success with new one-day workshop opportunity
DAIRY NEWS – Internships are a valuable part of the college experience for many students, providing real-world experience to enhance classroom learnings. Invest in the next generation of agricultural professionals with this new one-day workshop from Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW). This program will help students take their internships to the next level and set themselves up for career success.
Current interns for agricultural companies, farms and other organizations are invited to attend PDPW Accelerate™ Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with the workshop to run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for employers to further invest in their interns by offering them a full day of training with an expert in communication, leadership and teambuilding,” said John Haag, dairy farmer from Dane, Wis., and president of the PDPW Board of Directors.
Attendees will return to work with new insights, skills and initiative – as well as the confidence to take on more leadership roles in their work.
Through group activities and conversation, attendees will sharpen the tools they’ll need to:
Trainer Michael Hoffman will employ his high-energy presentation style to teach participants how to effectively master real-life challenges in the workplace. Michael Hoffman is the founder and owner of Igniting Performance, Inc., a Dallas-based company that specializes in the skills of sales, customer loyalty and leadership. Hoffman will also help attendees network with peers from across the agricultural industry, building important connections that will last throughout their education and career.
