DAIRY NEWS – From Berlin to Amsterdam and Munich to Rotterdam, with dozens of stops in between, the 2019 PDPW International Dairy Tour: Germany + Holland, presented by the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) will give dairy farmers and agribusiness leaders the opportunity to see some of the most renowned historic and cultural sites in Germany and Holland, as well as unique and behind-the-scene access to innovative dairy and agricultural operations.
Open to the public, tour attendees will depart from Chicago O’Hare Airport, Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 14 and return on Sept. 27, 2019. Registration includes roundtrip airfare, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, professional tour guides and translators, group meals and tour/event admissions.
“All the tour planning and arrangements are designed so that attendees can focus on learning and taking in the scenery, history and culture of Germany and Holland,” said Shelly Mayer, PDPW Executive Director. “Touring with peers from across the U.S. adds to the experience, giving everyone the chance to learn from each other throughout the trip.”

Join a Once-in-a-Lifetime Dairy Tour in September 2019
DAIRY NEWS – History, culture and dairy will combine in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the cities and countryside of Germany and Holland with the 2019 PDPW International Dairy Tour: Germany + Holland presented by the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW).
The tour will depart from Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 14 and include a full slate of historic, cultural and agricultural stops with a return flight from Munich on Sept. 27.
“The 2019 PDPW International Dairy Tour Germany + Holland is perfect to explore the cultural and historical landmarks of Germany and Holland, while also seeing a range of technologies and practices in dairy farming and agriculture,” said Cassie Mayer, PDPW Program Manager.
The tour includes stops at several farms, factories and agricultural centers, including tours of CLAAS headquarters, Lely, World Horti Center, the world-renowned Aalsmeer Flower auction, the world’s first Floating Farm, as well as several leading-edge dairy farms in both Holland and Germany.
Participants will tour some of the most recognized landmarks and sights in Berlin, Münster, Rothenburg, and Munich in Germany, and Amsterdam and Rotterdam in Holland. Highlights include a tour of the Anne Frank Haus and Museum, the site of the Berlin Wall, Oktoberfest, Neuschwanstein castle and multiple cathedral and castle tours.
The 2019 International Dairy Tour: Germany + Holland is open to PDPW members and non-members and space is limited. The tour package includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, group meals, entrance and admission fees for scheduled stops, motor coach transportation, professional translators and tour guides and all taxes.

- Het Keringhuis, the public Water Management Information Center for flood-risk management and home of the colossal Maesland Storm Surge barrier, the world’s largest moveable barrier
- Triesdorf School of Agriculture for a guided tour of the educational center for nutrition, energy, agriculture, food and environment.
- Aalsmeer Flower Auction, where 20 million flowers are traded and sold every day
