DAIRY NEWS – The Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) will be hosting the next World Class Webinar in the series “Farm & Family Business Transition,” Wed., Dec. 7 from noon to 1 p.m. CST.
The second webinar in this series is “Your Farm Succession Plan is a Living Document.” Attorney George Twohig, Partner at Twohig, Rietbrock, Schneider & Halbach, S.C will lead the webinar and showcase best practices to advance the transition process past the forming of an operating LLC and transferring membership interests. Together participants will learn how to review, reassess and change transfer plans. The tips learned from this webinar will put dairy farm families and creative farm partnerships in position to effectively meet both generations’ evolving goals and objectives.
PDPW webinars are open to the public and all interested in the session’s topic. Pre-registration is required and due by Nov. 30. Participants can watch the webinar live on the designated date and time, or watch the recorded session later.

Attorney Schneider discussed the challenges facing family farms as they develop plans for ownership and management succession. Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) is launching a two-part World Class Webinars series “Farm & Family Business Transition” to help address common challenges and meet your evolving farm goals and objectives. The first webinar in the series, title “Solving Common Challenges to Farm Transfers”, will be led by Attorney Troy Schneider on Wed., Nov. 9 from noon to 1 p.m CST.
As the first webinar in the series, dairy farmers will discuss the challenges facing family farms as they develop plans for ownership and management succession. Schneider has assisted in various farm transition situations and based on that experience, he will offer practical solutions to position your farm for success.
Schneider is a partner and ‘family farm lawyer’ at Twohig, Rietbrock, Schneider & Halbach, S.C. in Chilton, Wis., where he specializes in Agriculture and Agribusiness and Farm and Business Succession among other areas. With his many years of experience in family farm succession, he brings a wealth of knowledge on this topic to the webinar attendees.
This webinar is open to all interested in family farm transfers, including dairy farmers, industry professionals and beyond. Pre-registration is required and the deadline is set for by Nov. 2.
