Professional Dairy Producers To Honor Dairy Producers with Annual Blood Drive
Dairy Industry and Community Encouraged to Join in June 18 Blood Drive at PDP Headquarters in Juneau, Wis.

DAIRY NEWS – Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) is inviting members of the dairy industry and community to participate in their annual blood drive during June Dairy Month. The blood drive will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at 820 N. Main Street in Juneau. The blood drive will be overseen by the American Red Cross.
“We’re hosting this blood drive to honor the men and women whose hard work makes Wisconsin the leading cheese state and the cornerstone of a country that can nourish its own people,” said Shelly Mayer, Slinger, Wis., dairy farmer and PDP executive director. “The simple act of giving blood is a small thing compared to the work Wisconsin dairy producers do every day. During this hectic time of year for farmers, it’s our objective to help ensure there is a supply of blood products in case of emergencies.”
Donors can registered for a preferred time slot here and find more details on the PDP website. All donors should drink plenty of water and eat a healthy meal before donating.

In honor of June Dairy Month and PDP’s membership base of dairy professionals, PDP will offer donors milk and cookies, grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt, ice cream and more. In addition, the American Red Cross will offer donors a $15 gift card.
