Registration Open for 2026 PDP Accelerate Workshop
Ag industry employers encouraged to register summer interns for professional development program
 
DAIRY NEWS – Registration is now open for PDP Accelerate™, a one-day professional development program presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) designed to help college students and interns build critical skills to stand out in today’s workforce. The program provides a powerful way for dairy farms, agricultural companies and organizations to enhance their internship programs and invest in the next generation of talent.
 
PDP Accelerate is scheduled for Thursday, July 28, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East in Madison, Wis.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with the workshop running from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
 
"Long term, programs like PDP Accelerate help shape stronger professionals for our industry,” said Tina Peterson, Director – Wisconsin Communications, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin. “Interns who participate are better prepared to transition into full-time roles, with the communication skills, adaptability, and professionalism needed to succeed in agriculture and beyond. That ultimately strengthens not only our team, but the broader dairy community."
 
Trainer Michael Hoffman, founder and owner of Igniting Performance, Inc., will bring his high-energy, interactive style to help interns:

• Build rapport and confidently start conversations in professional settings
• Strengthen interview presence through effective communication and body language
• Give and receive meaningful feedback
• Position themselves as standout candidates in a crowded talent pool

 
The program is designed to complement on-the-job learning by strengthening leadership, communication and networking abilities. Employers are encouraged to register their interns early, as space is limited.
