New at PDP Business Conference: Health Screenings Available
Blood-pressure screenings, mammograms, health coaching added to Hall of Ideas
DAIRY NEWS – Recognizing that healthy people are essential to maintaining healthy herds and successful dairy operations, Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) is introducing new wellness offerings at the 2026 PDP Business Conference. Amenities will be located within the Hall of Ideas trade show at the event, scheduled for March 4-5, 2026, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
 
“Dairy producers and their teams are committed to the health and wellbeing of their animals, often working long hours in roles that are physically and mentally demanding,” said Cassandra Strupp, Richfield, WI dairy producer and PDP program manager. “We want to provide opportunities for them to make their own wellbeing a priority so they can stay healthy and energized to continue doing the work they care about.”
 
Health and wellness offerings include:
  • Mammograms provided by Marshfield Clinic. Appointments must be scheduled by February 25; call Marshfield Clinic directly at 715-221-6086. Have insurance information ready when scheduling appointment.   • Blood-pressure checks provided by National Farm Medicine Center Marshfield Clinic.
  • Health-coaching consultations provided by Morgan Ekovich, fitness and accountability coach and owner of Get Fit with ME. Ekovich will provide recommendations and information on stretching to boost mobility and flexibility, as well as healthy eating, meal planning and more.
  • Sunrise stretch at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March. 5, will provide 45 minutes of stretches and mobility exercises.
 
Business Conference attendees can also attend sessions focused on wellness for their teams and families:
  • Screenings for the Win” presented by Melissa Ploeckelman Brown, outreach specialist, National Farm Medicine Center and Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, will highlight preventative exams and screenings that are critical to staying healthy and in control of the future.
  • Smart Eating Made Easy” presented by Morgan Ekovich will feature easy ways to plan smarter, eat better and stay energized even on the busiest days.

In addition to more than 50 learning sessions, 40-plus speakers will lead sessions in several formats, including break-out, hands-on and learning lounge presentations, university research updates and Nexus® presentations.
