Future of Success session to Engage Teens, Boost Leadership, Communication Skills
Two 2025 PDP Business Conference sessions designed for teens 15-18
DAIRY NEWS – Today’s teenagers have a wealth of opportunities ahead of them including a variety of career options in the agriculture and dairy industries. Regardless of the path they choose the ability to think quickly and communicate clearly are valuable skills and essential to future success.
The 2025 Business Conference presented by the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) is offering two sessions exclusively for students ages 15 to 18 to build leadership and communications skills and the ability to influence others. The “Future of Success” leadership-development sessions will be presented by trainer Michael Hoffman, founder and owner of Dallas-based Igniting Performance Inc.
The conference will be held March 12-13, 2025, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis. Students are eligible for a reduced rate when registering for Business Conference and can attend any of the other sessions – of which there are more than 50 – as well as the expanded Hall of Ideas. Student registration is steeply discounted and includes all meals and amenities.
Hoffman will bring his high-energy, interactive style to the two 75-minute “Future of Success” sessions:

The 2025 PDP Business Conference offers accredited training through such providers as Dairy AdvanCE (DACE), American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS), Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL).

- “Be a positively outrageous influencer” will illustrate how to influence others by mastering the people skills that have instant impact. By demonstrating how small actions can brighten someone’s day, Hoffman will teach attendees what it takes to stand out as a leader and build their own brand of positivity to inspire others. - “Command confidence and clarity” will give attendees an opportunity to view public speaking as an experience that’s not nearly as frightening as it appears. Using an interactive format, he’ll demonstrate how students can quickly organize their thoughts and harness their nerves to project confidence and articulate their ideas clearly, even in high-pressure situations. In a session from which even adult leaders could benefit, Hoffman will equip teens with the skills to think on their feet while presenting themselves in a poised, competent manner.
