Register Today for Business Management & Advanced Finance Workshop
Two-day course equips dairy managers, lenders and other dairy with advanced concepts
 
DAIRY NEWS – Constructed as a capstone course in dairy management and finances, the 2025 Business Management & Advanced Finance Workshop, presented by Professional Dairy Producers®(PDP), is designed for dairy farmers and allied industry professionals to take their financial, management and human resources skillsets to the next level.
 
The two-day program centers on family business governance and growth management, while also integrating a business’s financial metrics and decision-making protocols. The workshop blends discussions and case studies to help attendees put a framework in place for growth or transition.
 
The workshop will be held Wed., Oct. 29, and Thurs., Oct. 30, at Compeer Financial in Sun Prairie, Wis., running from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 pm. on Wednesday and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
 
The course will be facilitated by Dick Wittman, a globally recognized expert in financial literacy, family business management and transition planning. Wittman brings a history of collaborating with PDP along with decades of experience and actionable insights to help participants build thriving, professionally managed farm businesses. Wittman will cover core topics including farm management proficiency, financial statements, cash flow budgeting, financial metrics and simulation, cost and managerial accounting, family business governance and growth management.
 
To ensure that participants get the most out of the course, each person will complete pre-class assignments designed to assess current application of the workshop principles. This preparation will enable everyone to more rapidly implement the strategies and tools.
 
PDP Business Management & Advanced Finance Workshop is accredited for up to 12.5 Dairy AdvanCE continuing education credits.
