PDPW Dairy Wellbeing Workshop
Join the 2024 PDPW Dairy Wellbeing Workshop on February 6 & 7, 2024, at the Tundra Lodge Resort Waterpark & Conference Center in Green Bay, Wis. Farm owners, managers, key team members and allied industry will learn from leading experts to better understand how form and function impact dairy cattle during various stages of life. The repeating one-day sessions will explore genomics and dairy characteristics, as well as ethical approaches to decision-making regarding animal welfare with attendees experiencing a firsthand look at how animal care choices impact cull cow quality during a behind-the-scenes tour of the American Foods Group.

FEB. 6 - LIMITED AVAILABILITY

During this one-day program, Dr. Dan Weigel will help you glean a clear understanding of current genomic traits, including new genetic predictors for health traits and how to best utilize these tools in our herds. Dr. Steve Kelm, will outline the role of genetics in the process of building a better cow and illustrate how to use specific guidelines to determine what a good cow looks like, how she functions and implications of various traits.

This program is accredited for up to 5.25 DACE continuing education credits and up to 5 ARPAS continuing education credits.
