Description
Ramp up your calf care expertise at the PDP Calf Care Connection® training. This workshop will be taught in English with simultaneous Spanish translation for the industry's top calf care managers and other experts looking to grow their skills by learning from world-class trainers in a hands-on setting. These workshops will repeat in two locations on Oct. 15 and 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Cleveland and Fennimore, Wis.Dr. Don Sockett, DVM will kick off the day with a breakout session on biosecurity. Learn how we can better care for our calves, and ourselves, as Dr. Sockett discusses how to alleviate the spread of disease on farms.
During this program, participants will also get hands-on during the breakout sessions, including dissections to better understand how pneumonia, scours and other diseases impact the youngest members of our herd. Dr. Theresa Ollivett, DVM, Dr. Melissa Cantor, PhD, and Dr. Derek Foster will provide actionable insight on some of the most common issues that our calves face.
