Step into student leadership by attending PDPW's Stride™ Youth Leadership Conference on November 12, 2022, at the Dodgeland School District in Juneau, Wis. This single-day program is for high school students ages 15 to 18 who are looking to amplify and excel in their leadership skills while preparing for the future and discovering opportunities in the dairy and agriculture sector.
During Stride, participants will engage in activities designed to uncover their inherent leadership tendencies. They'll also learn proven tactics to give them an upper hand when working with others - whether as a fellow team member or a leader of others.
A program highlight includes a mini-career fair that will showcase a broad range of agriculture career opportunities from professionals currently involved in the industry. Students will have the chance to talk with and ask questions to those currently working in such fields as dairy and agricultural production and sales, communications, business and more while learning about the various paths towards these rewarding careers.
In addition to discovering their leadership potential and career opportunities, participants will get on-farm and hands-on with a dairy farm tour and wet labs. Whether students have a dairy background or not, this opportunity showcases today's modern dairy industry through experiential learning for all.
This fast-paced conference will help attendees build on their inherent strengths and talents while introducing them to more advanced leadership and networking concepts, potential career paths and other students with similar goals.
