The multi-level, multi-session financial development program is designed to provide dairy farmers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and other agribusiness professionals a solid financial understanding and foundation and then stretch their thinking to far broader concepts.
Level 1 & 2 sessions will be trained by renowned dairy-financial experts Gary Sipiorski, agricultural business and financial consultant, and Dr. Kevin Bernhardt, Professor of Agribusiness at UW-Platteville. The Level 3 session will be trained by Dick Wittman of Wittman Consulting and TEPAP Ag Executive Program faculty.

Registered attendees will complete an online placement test to be properly placed into Level 1, 2 or 3; you'll receive notification of your level placement immediately upon submission.

Training Agenda Per Day
Day 1: 9 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. training start, 8 p.m. training concludes
Day 2: 8 a.m. training resumes, 4 p.m. concludes
An online placement test will determine which level you place into. An initial registration fee of $650/PDPW member or $775/non-member is required for placement; this fee covers the cost for all Level 1 participants.

Level 1: $650 (No additional cost)
Level 2: $850* ($650 initial reg. + $200 L2 reg. cost)
Level 3: $700* ($650 initial reg. + $50 L3 reg. cost)

Level 3: $825* ($775 initial reg. + $50 L3 reg. cost)

Count On Us
New this year to Financial Literacy is the “Count On Us,” program, designed to build partnerships to improve financial reporting and understanding of profitability for dairy operations. PDPW has developed a list of lenders, financial institutions, and consultants who are willing to provide partial scholarships to dairy producers who participate in the PDPW Financial Literacy for Dairy program. Class attendees will pay the training program fee to PDPW upon registration, then consult with their “Count On Us” partners to determine the scholarship amount.
