Every culling decision has value. At the Dairy Wellbeing Workshop, we will dive into how management decisions impact cow care on farm and at the processing plant. Join fellow dairy producers and allied industry for an exclusive tour of American Foods Group and a workshop with industry experts to strengthen cow care. This one-day workshop will take place on November 18 and 19 with limited capacity. This program includes simultaneous Spanish translation. Pre-registration is required.

Experience an exclusive tour of American Foods Group and gain a firsthand look at what happens after cows leave the farm. Industry experts will share what drives carcass value, why cows are discounted or condemned, and how management decisions made before shipment can influence returns. Whether you’re a producer, buyer, or industry professional, this session will give you the tools to make more informed and profitable decisions in your cattle management practices.

In the afternoon, Dr. Simon Peek and Dr. Jennifer Walker will dive into pain management and down cow protocols. These sessions will explore practical, evidence-based strategies to support animal welfare and the long-term health of cows during stressful periods of their lives.
