If there is one thing rural neighbors share, it's compassion. The power of compassion is defined in many ways - giving up a seat on the bus to someone who needs it, being polite to retail workers, or just taking a second to listen to a friend. As we hear from Tom Thibodeau, it's not judgment or advice that most people want, it's compassion!
Tom Thibodeau is a Distinguished Professor of Servant Leadership at Viterbo University and has been a faculty member since 1983. He is a recipient of Viterbo's Teacher of the Year award. "It is a privilege and a gift to be able to teach," says Tom; his "Servant Leadership" and "Leading by Serving" classes are among the most popular at the University, which features the country's only Masters of Servant Leadership Program.
