2025 PDP Managers Academy: Strengthen Teams and Build a Winning Culture
Exclusive Tours and Executive Training set for Jan. 7-9, 2025, in Dallas

DAIRY NEWS – Dairy executives can start the new year with a new focus on building stronger teams and culture in their organizations. “People: your game changers” is the theme of the 2025 Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals®, presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP), to be held January 7-9, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

“Managers Academy has become the must-attend event for dairy industry executives to spark new ideas, network and learn from each other and top-level facilitators,” said John Haag, Dane, Wis., dairy producer and PDP board president. “Taking three days to focus on your people and culture is the perfect way to start a new year.”

Managers Academy is developed by PDP in collaboration with Progressive Dairy, Progressive Dairy Solutions and Rabo AgriFinance and is designed for all executives in the dairy industry, including CEOs, industry directors, dairy owners and managers, processors, marketers and distributors. Travel plans should be made soon: a block of discounted rooms is available at the Marriott Quorum Dallas Addison when booked by Dec. 26, 2024, as part of the PDP group.

The immersive training features two days of executive-level classroom training and a full day of out-of-industry tours designed to put attendees in the shoes of leading executives facing similar challenges to dairy producers despite the vast differences in industries.

Training programs will be facilitated by world-class trainers with a focus on collaboration and hands-on learning to provide attendees with the tools to:
  • Motivate their best people
  • Overcome generational and technological hurdles
  • Mentor and lead teams into greatness
  • Foster relationships that mitigate stress and enhance emotional well-being

Trainers include:
  • Michael Hoffman, founder and owner of Igniting Performance, Inc., is a transformative force in professional training for executive teams around the world. Hoffman is known for his captivating delivery, energy and ability to shift mindsets using storytelling and interactive techniques. With clients that include Bank of Montreal, Aflac, SYSCO Foods and Comcast, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to blend motivation with tangible strategy to yield results that matter.
  • Dr. Richard Kyte, endowed professor of ethics at Viterbo University and director of D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership, brings unparalleled expertise in servant leadership, which resonates with today’s dairy executives who strive to cultivate both high-performing teams and sustainable business practices. Dr. Kyte is an accomplished author and cohost of “The Ethical Life” podcast, with a bi-weekly column that is syndicated in 73 newspapers nationwide. Whether teaching graduate courses or advising nonprofit boards, he is committed to shaping the next generation of leaders who understand that success in business is inseparable from the responsibility for employees, communities and environment.
On day two, attendees will participate in out-of-industry tours to learn from Texas-based industry leaders whose business expertise is entirely unrelated to dairy. Attendees will learn how they handle the several management opportunities and challenges they have in common with the dairy industry at Trinity River Authority, Cosm-Dallas and an Undercover Boss-style Mystery Tour where attendees will analyze and troubleshoot managerial aspects of a specific business.

Registration is open now; the registration fee includes all training materials, meals, tours and travel to the out-of-industry tour sites. Attendee travel to the program and hotel accommodations are not included with registration. For more details and lodging information visit www.pdpw.org or contact PDP at 800-947-7379.
