Professional Dairy Producers to Honor Dairy Professionals with 3rd Annual Blood Drive
Community Members, Dairy Industry Encouraged to Participate in June 22 Blood Drive
 
JUNEAU, WIS – Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) is inviting members of the community and broader dairy industry to participate in their third annual Community Blood Drive during June Dairy Month. Coordinated by the American Red Cross, the blood drive will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at PDP headquarters at 820 N. Main Street in Juneau.
“Each day, Wisconsin’s dairy farmers and industry professionals work to provide a nutritious and affordable food supply for our local communities and beyond,” said Shelly Mayer, dairy farmer from Slinger, Wis., and executive director of PDP. “Hosting a blood drive is a way to recognize their work with our own small act of giving blood to support our communities.”
In honor of June Dairy Month, PDP will offer donors grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt, milk and cookies, ice cream and more. Donors will also receive a $15 gift card from the American Red Cross.
Interested donors can register for a preferred time slot here; be sure to choose the Monday, June 22, event hosted by Professional Dairy Producers. Donors are advised to drink plenty of water and eat a healthy meal before donating. Representing dairy producers and other dairy professionals from 2,000 dairy farms, PDP has members across 36 states. It is producer-led and education-centric, focusing on producer professionalism, stakeholder engagement and unified outreach to share ideas, solutions, resources and experiences that help dairy producers succeed.
