Larson Joins Cooperative Network's Legislative Team

Wisconsin Ag Connection - The Madison-based Cooperative Network has hired a new director of government affairs. David Larson will join the group's staff on November 4, where he will work from the St. Paul office.

A graduate of the University of North Dakota and a current candidate for a Master's of Public Administration, Larson is an accomplished government affairs specialist with experience in local, state and federal policies, from taxation to regulatory systems. Most recently, he served as the lead staffer on the Minnesota Senate Transportation Committee. He also served on the staff of the House Ways and Means Committee in Washington.

"David is well known and widely respected by colleagues in Minnesota state government," said CN CEO Daniel Smith. "I am confident his experience will be an asset in helping Cooperative Network adhere to its mission of advocating for the cooperative business model in a changing economic, social and political environment."

Cooperative Network is the main trade association for Wisconsin and Minnesota cooperative businesses.
