Apply Today for 2024 Cornerstone Dairy Academy
January 31 is Deadline for Application-Based Leadership-Development Program
DAIRY NEWS – Strong communications and leadership skills are the foundation dairy farmers and industry professionals can build on to accomplish their personal and business goals, no matter the stage of career. The 2024 Cornerstone Dairy Academy® presented by the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP), will provide three pillars of leadership development led by world-class facilitators and the opportunity to continue learning at the 2024 PDPW Business Conference.
Applications for the 2024 Cornerstone Dairy Academy are due Wednesday, January 31, 2024, and can be accessed at https://pdpw.org/cornerstone-dairy-academy/. The first day of the program will be facilitated at Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells, Wis., on Mar. 12. Participants will put their skills to work in real time at the 2024 PDPW Business Conference on Mar. 13 at the Kalahari Resorts. Simultaneous translation into Spanish will be available for all sessions.
“Cornerstone is a great program to attend for the opportunity to meet and listen to great speakers, and network with others with the same interests and goals,” said Lucas Schmidt, Lake Breeze Dairy, LLC, Malone, Wis. “I had an awesome experience.” Schmidt graduated from Cornerstone in March of 2023 after having successfully completed all three tiers of the program.
Upon applying, potential participants will select one of three leadership pillars to attend. Each pillar – influential, visionary and servant – incorporates peer-to-peer networking and interaction, and is led by world-class experts.
Upon acceptance to the program, students and dairy producers pay $200 to attend; allied industry members pay $500. Support from Dairy’s Foundation and State Farm Insurance covers the balance of program fees, including meals. PDP will reimburse participants $50 per night for hotel lodging up to a maximum of two nights or $100.
Cornerstone Dairy Academy is an accredited training and offers Dairy AdvanCE continuing education units (CEUs). To learn more or secure credits, visit www.DairyAdvance.org.

- The Influential Leadership pillar will focus on helping attendees discover their behavior types, better understand generational differences and the correlating communication methods, master first impressions with courtesy and confidence, and more. Through interactive sessions and opportunities to practice new skills, they will learn to model thankfulness and gratitude and invite contributions and collaborate with team members.
- The Visionary Leadership pillar will feature the attributes of integrity, ethical decision-making, observing global trends to discover opportunities early, planning strategically with the use of economic-indicator tools and more.
- The Servant Leadership pillar will highlight the value of organizational focus and working as a team, the power of hospitality and customer service, the blessings of a positive, productive work culture and more.
