June All Milk Price Jumps to $19.50 Cwt.

Wisconsin Ag Connection - The Wisconsin all milk price for June was $19.50 per hundredweight. According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was $5.90 higher than last month's price and $1.60 more than June of last year.

The U.S. all milk price for June was $18.10 per cwt--$1.40 lower than Wisconsin's price, but $4.50 higher than last month. All but two of the 24 major milk producing states had a higher price when compared with May.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $2.25 per pound on July 31, while barrels were $2.23 per pound. The CME butter price was $1.60 per pound.

For the week ending July 25, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $2.77 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $2.45 per pound.

The U.S. butter price was $1.75 per pound, according to the monthly report.
