'World School Milk Day' Webinar Being Planned

Wisconsin Ag Connection - The International Dairy Federation is offering an informational webinar exploring the group's research on School Milk Programs, including case studies of current programs and their important impact on childhood nutrition.

The program will be held on World School Milk Day, which is celebrated each year on the last Wednesday of September, from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Central time. The webinar is open to all and free to attend and will feature speakers from around the globe.

School milk programs play an important role in the nutrition of children, helping to address issues of malnutrition and encouraging healthy eating habits. Over 160 million children worldwide currently receive milk at schools, with dairy's well-known natural nutrient-richness providing an abundant supply of high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals, such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iodine, and vitamins B2 and B12.
