Nominations Sought for Governor's Export Achievement Awards

Wisconsin Ag Connection - Wisconsin companies that have achieved success in exporting their products are being encouraged to apply for the 2020 Governor's Export Achievement Award. The program recognizes businesses and organizations of all size that have achieved extraordinary results in international markets or have contributed to the state's ability to compete in the global economy.

Administered by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the online nomination form can be found at wedc.org/exportawards. Entries should focus on the company's innovative international strategy and export growth.

The submission should focus on a company's measurable export growth, innovative approaches that set the business apart from other exporters, and any significant contributions that benefit the overall state economy and trade development in Wisconsin.

The deadline for the initial submission is January 3. A panel of international trade experts will review all submissions and come up with a group of semifinalists who will move on to the next stage of the competition and be asked to submit a more detailed application.

Award winners will be recognized at the annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference next spring in Milwaukee.
