U of Illinois to Hold Second FarmDoc Webinar on Late Planting Decisions

USAgNet - The University of Illinois is holding its second webinar dealing with prevented and late planting will be Wednesday, June 19 at 8:00 am.

Another webinar will be June 26 at 8:00 am.

Topics of the June 19th webinar are:

1. Market outlook. Todd Hubbs will provide an outlook given the latest crop progress information.

2. Soybean planting decisions. Gary Schnitkey will evaluate plant/prevent plant decisions on soybeans.

3. Cover crops along with crop insurance and MFP. Information on the use of cover crops given prevent plant acres will be presented. Market Faciliations Program implications also will be covered.

4. Policy update on MFP and ad hoc disaster assistance. Jonathan Coppess will provide a policy update.
