PDPW Announces 2017 National Dairy Leadership Events
 
DAIRY NEWS – For the past 25 years, the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) has developed educational meetings and events to cultivate dairy men, women and other professionals to lead their businesses successfully into the future. Four of the organization’s most advanced professional development events take place in the first few months of 2017.
 
PDPW national leadership trainings include Dairy’s Visible Voice Winter Series, the 2017 Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals™, Cornerstone Dairy Academy™ and the 2017 PDPW Business Conference. Among other excellent PDPW meetings, these four advanced trainings are dairy’s go-to resources for best-in-class dairy education.

  • Dec. 1 – Apr. 6, Baraboo, Wis. – Dairy’s Visible Voice Winter Series
  • Jan. 17-19, San Diego, Calif. – Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals™- Profit Strategies
  • March 14-15, Madison, Wis. – Cornerstone Dairy Academy™
  • March 15-16, Madison, Wis. – 2017 PDPW Business Conference
 
Dairy’s Visible Voice Winter Series, Wed., Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Foremost Farms USA, Baraboo, Wis. This training series focuses on leadership development through effective communication and is designed to empower active dairy farmers with the skills needed to lead their industry while protecting their brand. Through traditional and digital media, and in-person interaction with one’s community, family and friends, attendees will become more comfortable and confident in their communication skills. Join this peer-group oriented series on Dec. 1 (Social Media Strategy), Jan. 12 (Crisis Management), Feb. 16 (Effective Leadership), and Apr. 6 (Proactive Communication).  Due to space limitations, Dairy’s Visible Voice pre-registration is required.
 
Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals™, Tues. through Thur., Jan. 17-19, 2017, San Diego, Calif. This three-day executive-level training is power-packed with advanced business, financial and out-of-industry learnings that will assist dairy farm owners, CEOs and other top-level executives in positioning their businesses for success. Day one will take attendees behind-the-scenes for executive meetings with management at SeaWorld San Diego and the San Diego Zoo. Hear challenges pertinent to both dairy and animal tourism industries, with respect to environment, animal well-being, labor, and transparency with the general public. The final two training days bring Drs. Michael Boehlje and David Kohl together – two of the industry’s most sought-after business and financial minds. Managers Academy Registration is limited to the first 100 attendees.
 
Cornerstone Dairy Academy™, Tues. and Wed, Mar. 14-15, 2017, Madison, Wis. This two-day, application-based leadership training hones in on developing comprehensive communication and leadership skills for dairy farmers and other professionals advancing in their careers. The advanced trainings are comprised of three pillars tailored to help individuals advance their careers to management level and grow their professional skills. On day one, in each of the pillars, industry leading trainers will engage participants, nurture new ways of thinking and fine-tune approaches to problem solving and communication. On day two, participants will put their newly gleaned knowledge to use at the 2017 PDPW Business Conference by networking with other dairy farmers and industry professionals. Cornerstone Dairy Academy applications are due by Jan. 31 online at www.pdpw.org/cornerstone.php.  
 
2017 PDPW Business Conference – Mission Driven, Wed. and Thurs., March 15-16, 2017, Madison, Wis. As a producer-led professional development organization, PDPW has been dedicated to offering ideas, solutions, resources and experiences that help dairy men, women and other industry professionals succeed for the past 25 years. The 2017 PDPW Business Conference will be a celebration of the past 25 years, present and future. The Conference will feature a myriad of cutting-edge dairy topics from high-caliber business and production speakers during more than 45 learning general sessions, breakouts, hands-on labs, research previews, and learning lounges. Attendees will take the knowledge gleaned from presenters, keynote speakers and other dairy farmers to further their business goals, strategies and overall success.  Business Conference registration is open.
